Academy appoints new clinical trustees
‘I am delighted to be able to announce that Dr Danny Bryden, Dean of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, and Professor Kamilla Hawthorne, Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners, have both been elected as clinical trustees on the Academy’s Board, replacing Bernie Chang (RCOphth) and Mike Osborn (RCPath) as their term in the role comes to an end.
I along with my fellow trustees are very pleased to welcome Danny and Kamilla as they both bring a wealth of experience and insight to the role, which was created to ensure the views of colleges and front-line clinicians are represented to the Academy’s Board of Trustees. I must also say that I am extremely grateful to Bernie and Mike for their wise counsel over the last two years. It has been a great pleasure working with them and, on behalf of my trustee colleagues, I wish them both well as they demit office.’
