We apologise for the length of time it is taking for applications for refunds to be processed.

The Academy only facilitates this process, and the refund itself is be dealt with by NHS Business Services Authority (NHS BSA).

The system set up by NHS BSA to process the applications is taking longer than expected to become fully operational.

We are regularly seeking updates on progress from DHSC and we will put an update here as soon as we have any further information.


A reminder that the bank account used to pay for the Surgcharge is the only account that the refund can be issued to.  If that account has closed, it isn’t possible to provide new bank details until NHS BSA have attempted and failed to pay the money into the orginal account.
