We develop, revise and own the intellectual property rights of the Foundation Programme Curriculum.
The Foundation Programme Curriculum (the Curriculum) sets out the framework for educational progression that will support the first two years of professional development following graduation from medical school. It is regularly reviewed and revised by request of the GMC, with the last major review in 2016.
We are currently considering the latest revision of the Curriculum in parallel with the Health Education England (HEE)Foundation review. While the HHE review does not look directly at the content of the curriculum it is possible that the outcome of it will have implications for our work.
The current Curriculum (2016) is available as an online resource at the UKFPO website as well as to download below.
Our work on the Foundation Curriculum is led by Dr Tony Choules (Chair) and managed by Johanne Penney. For further information on any of our past or current work with the Curriculum please contact Johanne Penney.
