These events are for anyone to attend, we encourage patients, the public, clinicians, commissioners, providers in fact anyone with an interest to join these webinars so you can hear more detail, ask questions and feedback your views.   • Repair of minimally symptomatic inguinal hernia
  • Surgical intervention for chronic sinusitis
  • Removal of adenoids
  • Arthroscopic surgery for meniscal tears
  • Surgical removal of kidney stones
  • Surgical intervention for benign prostatic hyperplasia
  • Discectomy
  • Radiofrequency facet joint denervation
  • Cholecystectomy
  • Appendicectomy without confirmation of appendicitis
  • Fusion surgery for mechanical axial low back pain
  • Helmet therapy for treatment of positional plagiocephaly/ brachycephaly in children
  • Vertebroplasty for painful osteoporotic vertebral fractures

Diagnostics one (radiology and cardiology)

11 August  13.30 – 15.00

  • Diagnostic coronary angiography for low risk, stable chest pain
  • Troponin test
  • Exercise ECG for screening for coronary heart disease
  • Low back pain imaging
  • Knee MRI when symptoms are suggestive of osteoarthritis
  • Knee MRI for suspected meniscal tears
  • Imaging for shoulder pain
  • MRI scan of the hip for arthritis
  • Pre-operative chest x-ray
  • Pre-operative ECG

Diagnostics two (pathology and other investigative procedures)

18 August 11.30 – 13.00

  • Cystoscopy for men with uncomplicated lower urinary tract symptoms
  • Upper GI endoscopy
  • Appropriate colonoscopy
  • Repeat Colonoscopy
  • ERCP in acute gallstone pancreatitis without cholangitis
  • Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test
  • Liver function, creatinine kinase and lipid level tests – (Lipid lowering therapy)
  • Blood transfusion
