Matched Funded Projects

Through grant funding from the Department of Health the Academy considers and sponsors a number of projects run by the various medical Colleges.

The projects must be applicable across medical specialties and have clear and demonstrable benefit to the medical profession as a whole as well as to the public. Colleges commit to match the grant funding from the Academy with either additional funding or equivalent resources.

Applications are subject to external peer review and then considered by the Academy Project Governance Committee.

Progress on projects has to be regularly reported back to the Committee.
