Joint statement on Education

The Academy (including the Academy Trainee Doctors’ Group), COPMeD, BMA, JDC and Remedy UK have released a joint statement in relation to the role and recognition of national professional examinations in postgraduate medical education and training in the UK. 

The joint statement sets out an action plan for addressing the concerns raised by trainees. Doctors can be reassured that the GMC will be flexible and pragmatic in applying rules about when professional examinations can be taken.
