Faith and organ donation

We are working with individual faith groups to identify the issues of most concern to them in organ donation, and to arrange a series of debates with these communities during the year. Common themes emerging through early discussions are the diagnosis and definition of death.

UKDEC member Gurch Randhawa has been involved in a number of broadcasts discussing these issues.

The Church of England will host a fringe meeting at its annual conference on 11-12 July 2011 at York, to be attended by UKDEC chairman Sir Peter Simpson.
